I will be checking with local MB dealer but can anyone please provide an approximate cost for Merc E-class (E220 CDI) A and B type services. I have been offered a monthly payment service scheme but want to compare to one-off costs.

Thanks in advance.

Just call any MB dealer and they will tell you the prices, also what extras will need to be done due to mileage and age.

Generally I think there is a small saving on the monthly plan because certain mandatory items are included in the cost of the service plan but are extra if you pay as you go. Obviously it's game over if you are happy to get the car serviced by an indie

Look for a good indie, they will look after your car a lot better than a M B dealer and at a lot less cost

I service mine myself, much much cheaper and very satisfying as you know it's been done perfectly

Including you?:D

The OP has already stated that they will be contacting a dealer so by doing so and possibly calling a number of others then they will have their answer

I will.

Given the number of 'My Service' options and the variation in dealer pricing throughout the UK, the only correct way of finding out the cost is to call the Service Department of the preferred dealership.

There are too many variables otherwise

I can add that I have a E220 CDI and the service plan @ £30/month worked out cheaper for me and the mileage I do.

If you go on an MB site they'll give you a quote however it's the "extras" that add to the bill.
I think an A service is about £160-£170 and a B service around £295 but with additions for periodical items it could run up to £700-£1k
