Hi all,

I got a quote for some SLK facelift sideskirts today and it was blinking pricey imo; £365 for a couple of bits of (unpainted) plastic.

I was wondering if the parts would be cheaper if i could get them from mainland europe. (since servicing seems a lot cheaper). if so, anyone know which country's best and how to go about contacting a dealership over there. if it seems like a good road to go down i'll then worry about the logistics of getting them here.

cheers,
simon

Yes, they are cheaper. I got my auto dimming RVM from Germany and saved £20. But it was only worthwhile because my German mate brought it with him when he came to visit :D :D

Up until recently one of the cheapest places in Europe to get parts was the UK! Sadly the value of euro pushed all the prices up, we're now basically the same as everywhere else. I will get a price for the sideskirts from Whitefield for you, you will also need all the fitting clips and clamps, and most likely the weather protection strips for under the doors, which will come to a total of about £30.

cheers Nick!

I got bit by the mod-bug after the "Fast Car" w/e. Also, got a quote for some Eibach springs as it really could do with lowering a bit (...a big bit). :D however, i can only do one mod or the other for now.
