Are these AMG or copies?

I hope you don't live in Herts, Beds or Bucks as there is a crackdown on illegal number plates at the moment.
Suffolk too, we heard on the radio when were there a week ago.

What is the registration meant to be?

No mate I dont but, As I said on one of my other posts the dodgy plates were stuck over a set of legal ones, see

and I am a stickler for registration plates to be made to the letter of the law,As I dont need the hassle of a fine or being pulled, as the police have better things to do,than pull someone over with dodgey plates up,when they could be out chasing Rapists, and Murderers.and if I did keep the dodgy ones on I would expect to have my coller felt but I wont so that leave's the police alone to more important things,Just my opinion

Very responsible :thumb:....i also hate seeing these dodgy plates too. If only everyone stuck to the law the Police could spend their time much better.

I totally agree David, The thing is that when drivers get a pull for dodgy plates they moan, whinge and complain,"don't the police have something better to do than pull me about my registration plate's,like chase burglers and murderers or something".
I say yes they do,but idiots like those choose To put Illegal plates on they're cars Knowing full well that they are more than likley to get a pull and then they moan, Tuff I say .As said my opinion only

Agree with you completely.

A good rule of thumb for these people would be 'If you need to alter the spacing or put bolts in odd places to get the plate to mean something , then it's not worth having in the first place'

I like a good plate dont get me wrong, but if it doesnt say something or its not a dateless plate, like mine whats the point of having it

Fake ones generally either don't have AMG stamped on them on have some variation stamped on there such as AME or HMG all made to look close to AMG until close up.

Also pay attention to the five lines before A, they should all be different sizes. I've seen some fakes with just 3 lines in front of AMG before.

Also a dead giveaway on some of the cheap copies is that they don't even have the 5 alignment holes between the bolts like genuine wheels do.
