Guys,

I have just come across this... anybody hazard a guess if they are for real?

If so I think we should pay them a visit!

Those prices do look on the low side. Ad also doesn't inspire confidence, member since Feb 09, no pictures etc.

Here's the garage's homepage. He doesn't give the car's mileage which makes it hard to know whether the cars are good value or not.

An 8-year-old E320 CDI Estate for under 2K. Is that really all they're worth now? I wonder what's wrong with it.

Both list the same cars, however, they may have made a mistake on ebay and listed their purchase prices?

The C32 doesn't look too bad, and the M3 has 63k on it for sub 10k...

I think this is what has happened as every car is a few thousand cheaper on ebay. It would be a good bargaining tool if this is the case!!

Ooh Ooh look at this one! EBAY I looked at thier webiste first and thought the 2000 model looked good value at £8,995, but the ebay ad is a 2001 model CL500, (which shows the mileage at 74,700) is only asking £6,315!! Whats the plot here? are they going out of business and just outing the cars at cost?

I fancy that Cl at 6.5 bags!!, thats cheaper than the CLK of the same year surely?

HELL!! That is a lot of metal for your money. I think the UK must have some of the cheapest used cars in europe now.

I cant wait, Im off to see the car tommorrow early if they open , 3 hour round trip but if its half as good as it looks then its got to be done at that money.

This is from their website:

Please call us prior to setting off to check the availability of the vehicle you’re interested in viewing and to ensure the accuracy of any details.

I have been there, owner has a bad attitude, stock is generally quite tatty.

Definently seems like a mistake on the listings though... Used to have a different account on ebay before.

 thats disapointing. Done a little research and those adverts on ebay all seem to be trade in price or lower. The phone number on the Ebay ads is incorrect. Perhaps a disgruntled ex-staff member or customer? weird. I cant see any benefit to them advertising at prices lower than that which they would sell at, they'll juts get dissapointed phone calls mine being one !). Oh well I called the actual number earlier and left a message to call me if they are open tommorrow, will report back.

This trader has also been mentioned on a BMW E30 forum as thay always seem to be selling one... not very favourably I may add.

See what they got to say before setting off, there is nothing to lose in talking, but just go in with your eyes open.

Good luck

Mmm the Ebay ad for the CL500 has now disappeared, but weirdly the same reg plated car appears now under a different Ebay seller which also appears to be hillingdon motors, but this time with 101,000 miles i/o 74,700. Oh , and the price is now £9,995 which is full retail ( and then some) for that car.

As the old adage says, if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is. Still got me thinking that a trip to an auction could be worthwhile!
