Mmm the Ebay ad for the CL500 has now disappeared, but weirdly the same reg plated car appears now under a different Ebay seller which also appears to be hillingdon motors, but this time with 101,000 miles i/o 74,700. Oh , and the price is now £9,995 which is full retail ( and then some) for that car.

This is similar to what happened to an Alpina E30 they had.... For sale with low mileage & PART service history @ high price & then all of a sudden,for sale with higher mileage & full service hisory @ lower price.

As the old adage says, if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is. Still got me thinking that a trip to an auction could be worthwhile!

Wouldnt I love to, but got too much work on at the moment, but I shall have to get my act together and arrange a day off to do this, I used to go to auctions regularly in the early 90's and always loved it, rarely came back empty handed, there;s always soemthing tempting!

Well I just popped past this place as I was working literally just up the road.

I'm just as dubious as I used to be of them. Eg, that C32 has done 92k miles, has knocking/vibration from the front end and is up for £9995.

The CL that Crammy has mentioned is wearing 'Fullrun' tyres, speaks volumes about the previous owners and quality of the cars IMHO.

Other delights included an E46 BMW with barry quad exhausts (it wasn't an M3 btw )

This trader has also been mentioned on a BMW E30 forum as thay always seem to be selling one... not very favourably I may add.

See what they got to say before setting off, there is nothing to lose in talking, but just go in with your eyes open.

I went to see a 530D there about a year ago, it was a very good price, but it had dnoe 140k and had part service history which they said they were trying to track down. It drove ok, but the whole experience put me off. Nothing wrong with the folk there, but they never really inspired me with much confidence, which can be said of a lot of garages to be fair. As usual, do your homework and walk away if anything seems a untoward.
