The display letters are dim in daylight on Audio 20 in my 211. It was suggested on the Owners Forum that strong light be shone at the sensor (s?) and that would reset the display. That doesn't work for me and I'm not sure if what I'm doing is even correct. It's not even April 1st. :doh:

Can some knowledgeable person correct either the theory or practice of this please.

Its normally all controlled by the adjustable brightness on the tacho, when you twiddle it does it go brighter?
 
Thanks for your reply. Coincidentally I was at Merc today and asked. Apparently the windsceen light sensor governs the setting and it has a habit of being lazy. Which is what I've been told, only the mistake I made was to try and reset it using an LED torch. For some reason it needs a bright light source for a normal type bulb. :dk:
If that doesn't work it needs a jag from a Star machine. Should that be the case...it can wait.
