Hi

Have had a quick trawl but need to ask....

I have a standard Audio 10 CD in my pre facelfit W203.

I want to have Ipod input - but this has to be within budget which, as a nice to have at the moment, isn't much.

I am looking at a few aftermarket solutions offering full integration (head unit control of Ipod, retain steering wheel controls, power and input from glove box using Alpine head units fitted by a local ICE outfit with fascia adapter) but would prefer an OEM look.

Does an Audio 30, my only option for OEM I understand (without going Command) have an aux in that I can feed the Ipod into (with or without charging?)

I thought so, but had water poured over my parade by somebody else. Hence I thought I should gather 'tinternet' views as we all know they are never wrong.

Want to make a decision on this this weekend and have the offer of an Audio 30 now (thanks MBTECHNICIAN) but need certainty on the input issue to weigh up a half way house OEM against a better after market solution.

Audio-30 has no aux input. Comand 2.0 was the first/only D2B (i.e prefacelift cars) unit to have it. The "answer" is the Dension Gateway 500 for D2B cars, but by the time you've bought that and the Audio-30 there are better (non OEM) units. It will work with the Audio-10 (pretends to be a CD changer) though.

It may be worth PM'ing alfie to see if he knows anyone with a spare COMAND2.0 at a sensible price which as you know has aux in.

Cheers for the swift response

Taking it that you are correct (and hey this is tinternet!) it's aftermarket then...pity

I will pm Alfie, but your idea of my budget may differ to mine based on the price of the Denison kit. I am looking at an all in Alpine fully fitted solution for around the £250 mark - and then I can recover some of that by ebaying the Audio 10 for something under £100 I guess - I will try here of course.

I'll see what Alfie has, but thanks

Fabes
