Audio 50 APS problem ?

Hi, all.

I have searched, but can't find much info.

The screen/display does not light up/start, the Navi/Tel/Audio inside the speedo is just a few dashes.

The radio and cd all work fine, just hard to select what I want.

The whole system only switches on/off using the main button.

If the system is working, ie, radio on, I can stop the engine in the normal manor of turning the key, remove the key, get out and lock the car car up using the key fob, but the radio stays on !!!! I have to open car and use the main button to switch the radio off ???

I have read the books, but no help.

I guess it's looking like a software re-set at the dealer ???

Anyone ever had the same or similar ???

Just to add some info.

I drove the car today and played about a bit.

The only buttons that work are the on/off switch and the left and right arrow buttons next to the on/off button, so I can change radio stations or disc tracks.

And as to the overall functions, it appears to me the system only works like the key is out, I always have to switch it on and it does not switch off when engine off or doors locked, it just stays on till the 30min timer switches it off ??? very nice.

I have re-read all the books and searched the nett, but still can't find much info.

Guess I will pop in to dealer when I'm next passing one.

But I'm glad I have now driven the car with the display/screen off, I find it much nice, when it's fixed, I may well switch the display/screen off most of the time.
