Autoglym convertible soft top cleaner

Save yourselves a small fortune chaps, and use the 'system' recommended to me by a professional valeter ages ago!

Green mould? Milton's Sterilising tablets dissolved in warm water, scrub the solution in with soft brush, leave it a bit, rinse from open hose.

Clean with Johnsons blue (not lilac, different formula) baby bath mixed in warm water. Rinse as above. Do it twice.

Reproof when dry with the aforementioned Grangers Fabsil Gold applied with a 4" brush, which also has the effect of colouring the fabric, and looks natural, as opposed to something painted on. Apply a 2nd coat at 90 degrees to the 1st.

Bird crap on your hood? Pour cheap fizzy water onto it, the bubbles lift it out....rinse it away.

Wow, interesting that's recommended by a professional, rather than potions designed for it%

The basic principles of a professional approach to soft tops is to first soak with water - CAUTION do not use a power washer pointing directly at the soft top, this can leave permanent damage in the form of whitish lines in the material. i actually just use a hose for this as a safe guard, next its decontamination by using any quality APC/Degreaser combine with a soft/med hand brush, give a decent scrub, but never allow APC product to dry, repeat if necessary, Rinse well.............. next follow instructions on chosen product.

gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric is a good standard, 3 years protection, ultra hydrophobic.

And @W1ghty this is exactly the way I clean and proof my CLK roof and it still looks fantastic and the water beads off a treat. I've been doing this for the last 3 years.
