I know this question has been asked many times, but doesn't seem to have been answered definitively?

I have just bought an E280 CDI estate, and a Tom Tom 920.

The Tom Tom does everything, has 20GB of audio storage, blue tooth for the phone, but I need to find a way of connecting the audio out of the Tom Tom to an input in the Audio 20.

I don't have a command unit.

I know this must be an very common issue as it is the same issue for people trying to connect MP3's or IPods.

Any help appreciated, and pictures would be fantastic.

many thanks

i've just bought a cable from john lewis for £10. it has a 3.5mm audio jack at both ends. connects my ipod to the aux jack in the glove box

very interesting ,i never knew there was an aux jack in the glovebox for the audio 20,i never had one in my audio 50aps unit, the unit didnt support it,i had to buy a cable when i upgraded to comand.
tech 123 what year is your motor ?

My car is Dec 05 a 06 model and it doesnt have the aux plug in the glovebox - if that is standard it was introduced later in the model's lifetime. I know I can have one fitted......

I knew the C class had the Aux fitted, but not the E. In fact if you have a C class without the aux you can find it hidden underneath the passenger side door trim.

I have checked in my Glovebox of my C220 and didn't see an Aux connector. You mention it should be present in the Passenger side door trim, can you please give a bit more detail on where I can look for this? I am assuming you are not suggesting that the passenger door card has to be removed to find it, as that wouldn't make a lot of sense!

Thanks

Gary.
