Avon Tyres on R230

Has anyone any experience of Avon tyres ZZ3's on a R230? The reason for asking is that 4 tyres ( 2@ 245x40x18 and 2@ 275x35x18) are coming out at under £500 including delivery to N. Ireland. This seems vey reasonable.

Have not run them on a Merc, but had them on an Audi A8 a few years back and they were a good grip/wear/ride/cost compromise

Sounds like a good price, but not sure you have your tyre sizes right. Mine has 18" wheels too [8.5" and 9.5"] and the tyres are 255/40 and 285/35 so you might want to double check. Matt
