B class info

My father is considering getting a Merc , he has seen the light lol

He wants to run this car on LPG . I can remember reading some where that some B class where duel fuel , has any one here got one for these or got some info on these cars .

As far as I know in the UK at least they were never dual fuel, there was talk about a hybrid electric one but that has not been released.


Ours is 2 litre Cdi Auto and does almost 50 mpg on a run with a best so far if 59 mpg. Pretty good and the seven speed auto is so smooth.

I was sure I read that there was a petrol / gas fueled option on the B class , though I may be wrong because Iv never seen them discussed here .

You are right. They announced it at the time of the facelift (2008?). But it seemed to disappear quickly and maybe it just did not sell over here because the diesel ones are cheaper and do mega miles per gallon.

Think in total we got....

B150, 160, 170, 200turbo and the 180cdi then 200cdi and a couple of stop star blue efficiency ones.

Think I saw it in the Mercedes magazine but dont think it came here probably no call,

B170 NGT model runs on either petrol or gas but I don't believe it ever came here.

He was considering getting a C class and converting it but if there was an option to have a factory car then he would prefere it
