W204 C220CDi Facelift
Hi guys.

Looking at buying a 2009 B180CDi Sport (auto) which was declared cat d in March 2014.

The damage was rear end and has had a new bumper.

I'm just wondering what else to look out for?

It's priced accordingly (£5500) and having quickly viewed and drove it today, it seems a great car for the money.

It passed MOT last week.

There are no warning lights showing up on the dash.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers!

If the car has 40k miles or over, check that the gearbox oil has been changed, it's a service item that should be changed every 40k miles. I've had mine for 4 years 45k miles with no problems other than yesterday, the window switch broke with the window wide open, really great at motorway speeds :(

If you stop the car, get out and lock it, holding the key fob pressed for lock near the drivers door, the windows will all close.

Unlock and proceed with your journey ;)

Yes, I knew I could do that, but when travelling at 70mph and about 10 miles from the next junction, it's a bit of a pain. :D

I have since had a new switch fitted, which on a B includes all 4 windows, central locking, mirror adjustment in one unit, well, you can guess the price, all for one window switch :(
