B3 Service Quote (are these additionals needed)

Hi,

My C180 is due a B3 service soon, however my mileage is low, only 10k, my service quote from Mercedes was £385 but they are also quoting an extra £188 for additional required work

Panoramic sliding roof: Clean and Lubricate guide mechanism
Replace air filter element
Replace spark plugs

Just wondered if spark plugs etc were really needed with the mileage being low or is it based on car age (4 years)

Plugs are time based as is brake fluid and pano service.

If you don't replace the plugs then they can seize in position. Technically they are due after 4 years, even if the mileage is low.

I have not used them, but Mercedes Benz & Smart Specialists | Prestige Car Service | Horndean, Hampshire are very well liked on this forum and sound like one of the best. They may not be too far from you....

^ I have used PCS and can recommend them thoroughly. You won't find better closer to W Sussex.
