Back bench seat 270 ML cdi 51 plate

Help! I managed to fold the double portion of the seat down after a struggle with the cables under the seat,but now it refuses to come back up and there is very little space underneath to get at the cables any body out there got a remedy for releasing the mechanism when the cables have become inoperative? My seven seater has now become a five seater..not good!!!!

They are very tricky to do. An absolute nightmare was the last one I did. You need to try and shift the latch with a screwdriver.

Thanks, I thought as much. I was hoping it might have unbolted from the rear or removing the hinge pins might have been a way,thus allowing the seat to tip forward.Mind you those springs look like once set free never to go back!!!
