Hi mates...
I happened to be passing by this Japanese site, these people are really creative.
They are adding Xenon to their reverse light!!!!!!!!!
Check this

I don't know a single Japanese word :dk:

what next HID indicators?

Actually... A neighbour did a similar thing. He fitted one to his o/s rear fog light and now has a independed switch for it. Anyone that turned their lights up to max when he's on the motorway at a sensible speed gets blinded. He did it to me a while ago as I was parking. So I jammed him in.

I would imagine these reverse lights some japs might have is a good option if you like reversing on rural roads.

Edit - too many spelling mistakes.

Theres a guy around my area who has similar reverse HID lights on his car too, they are very bright too.

I can definatly see the appeal for people who live in rural areas, you can't really see much with standard reverse lights if the area has no lighting. I was in a similar situation and had to use my rear fogs to get extra light/throw to see where I was reversing.

Usefull if you have a rear view camera to light up the area behind to get a clearer picture.

I'd be interested to see the wattage of those lamps!

Bearing in mind that there is (I believe) a maximum wattage output by reversing lights of 24W in the UK regulations.

I can talk though. When I was a yoof I had a 100W halogen spotlamp on the bootlid of my Mini, which masqueraded as a non-functional reversing lamp. I had a separate switch for it under the driver's seat. Surprising how effective that was when idiots behind didn't know/care that they were on high beam! :o

Ever so slightly off topic but it would be quite good if you added infrared leds into the rear light cluster somewhere along with the standard bulbs so that the area was lit up brilliantly on the reversing camera but not visible to people behind you.

Looking at the advert I did see 15W in amongst the heiroglyphs. Perhaps this is the wattage?
