C63 Coupé
After a self imposed sabbatical in a CLS oil burner, I'm back in a C63 coupe and loving it.

Took delivery a couple of weeks ago and managed to get it registered before the April tax change. The running in is torturous but it gives me a chance to reacquaint myself with handling more power after the CLS.

Few little things I noticed that weren't obvious from brochures/talking to dealer:-
- I think the side skirts on the S have a chrome strip. Doesn't bother me but would have been nice to know
- Keyless go with the Premium pack lets you open and close the boot with a kick under the bumper
- The LED main beam is softened in the upper part of view compared to my old CLS. Might sound odd but I would often get dazzled by the reflection off road signs.
- Rear seats have a central ski hatch opening. Pretty sure my old C63 coupe didn't have one

Planning a Gtechniq coating in the next couple of weeks and will post more pics afterwards

Looks great! How was the collection experience? As i am sure I am collecting from the same dealership as you.

Thanks. Collection was pretty average to be honest. No issues, polite but literally demo of controls, keys and go. Not even a key ring ! Car condition was below average too, still wet in places but I didn't mind as it's going to be detailed and ceramic coated. I guess this is what happens when you buy via a broker.

Irrelevant what source you got the car from as they rely heavily on the customer feedback questionnaire.

Btw my supplying dealer was Norwich.

That's a real butch lookin 63. Lovely motor.

Thanks. I keep staring at it from different angles and there are some lovely curves and contours that you just can't see in pics. The shape is really growing on me especially the rear of the car. With it widened, it just seems to fill out the overall shape better than standard which I always thought looks too slim and 'weak'.

Spending a bit more time in the car, I think the only option I'd change is to have black wood trim inside.

Looks really familiar except someone's nicked the rear doors lol.......

Great choice, enjoy, I would have liked the coupe but needed rear doors for the grandson, aching old back and all that!!

Yeah, I have the open pore ash in mine and looks really good, but I think the coupe's retain the aluminium trim on the doors anyway. Do you have all black seats? I went for the chilli pepper red inserts and it really lifts the interior.

Very nice car indeed, well done!

Beauty! Looks lovely - are they doing good deals on them new? What was the wait?

Yep, all black interior. Been looking at upgrading the centre console including the clock but it's a big pricey as an aftermarket job.

There have been deals around for quite some time. I went via Drive the Deal after an awful experience with a local dealer. Just get a quote via their site.

Regarding no free keyring.....if you don't ask, you don't get.
I bought my car used from a main dealer and asked for new key rings, new mats, golf umbrella and private plates made up with the dealer inscription.
Nice car by the way!

I guess each to their own, but I personally don't expect to ask for things like this. Think it says more about dealers and their attitudes that they don't even give a low value item like a key ring. the items themselves don't bother but the dealers attitude does.

Don't feel too sad, I got a couple of keyrings and a cap when I got mine. BTW, you don't need to kick the bumper, just wave your foot under the centre of it. You wouldn't want to break the sensor...

Ha, I meant kick under the bumper. Would be funny seeing someone literally kicking their car to get the boot open

I got a couple of key rings and a nice SL300 brolly without asking when taking delivery of my car.....seems I must have been the lucky one!
