Battery controll module

Hi, Iv changed the battery control module on my w211 320 cdi. Does anybody know how to get my car to recognise the new 1? Apparently I need to set the computer to allow it to work properly or something????

There are different versions of BCM, your is most likely newest version: Its coded in rear SAM, it should be checked via SDS.
