Gentlemen
Can you tell me the correct size of battery in AMP/HOURS for a 2002 CL500 please?
Also, do you think that the BOSCH S4 & S5 are worth the extra cost over the S3 ?

Here you go jumbojim,

I fitted this one to my CL500 a couple of years ago now, excellent battery and you will get the forum discount off their current retail prices. Original battery was 95Ah, upgrade to this one, especially if it’s a high specification CL with all the options on it.

Hi Jumbojim,

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I bought mine from Euro Car Parts before I even joined this forum.

The part number on my invoice is 444770198 Bosch S5 Battery Type 019

The cost of it at the time was £100.74, but it may be even cheaper than that now with the forum discount.

Best Regards,

Dash1

FWIW, MB aren't normally that expensive for batteries. You might only get a two-year warranty though.

For reference, last time around I paid £50-60ish for a 62Ah for one of my 190Es and about £100 for a 100Ah on the CLK55.

Thanks Dash 1, that is just what I wanted to know.

go for the s4 100amp you can get them from Eurocar parts with discount for around £70..
