OE or Pattern?

MB want nearly £400 inc. VAT for new rad

Eurocarparts have a Nissens one for £146 (+VAT?)

The car has aftermarket AC

Any thoughts?

No contest: Nissens. Seriously, the price difference is so great and my mechanic has had no problems with Nissens radiators, so I've had two fitted and so far no problems at all. Nissens is a Danish company, which I take as some indication of quality control.

Well, in the BMW world Nissens have a poor reputation for longevity.

Behr GmbH are better. The one on my C-class is still going strong after 11 years and the one on my old 1992 BMW 740i is the original too.

I have fitted Nissens to a few cars now and so far so good they have been ok.

I think Behr is one of the MB OEM suppliers. We'll see: my 300E twin turbo had been through five MB OEM radiators before I bought it, goodness knows why.

Euro do supply other makes too but I have a nissens in both the W123 and W126... Infact the W126 one seemed better made than the MB one as it had a plastic connection at the top which snapped when doing a hose clip up.. whereas this one is a lot stronger..
