The black does look better, but so doe's the new grill in my opinion! Did my grill myself but it is starting to chip so may have it dipped

A possible alternative is "shadow line" tape. - search the bay for it. Basically it's wide insulating tape normally used on BMWs. However I've used it on both my Audi A6 and Subaru with good results. Not really suitable for wide grills, but good on window surrounds etc. Best done on ward days but it is stretchable.
