I sat a cup of coffee on the top of the dash and spilled it over the grille that has the front parktronic led's on it, I dried it up quickly and had no apparent problems but I just noticed today in the sunlight that all the holes in the grille are off white with dried up latte in them.

The car is a facelift 2011 C220 125 edition estate.

How do I get this grill off so that I can wash it??

Thanks

John

Dunno, but with all that fluid in the dash you'd better do it expresso - sooner rather than latte ;).

I think that the grill just clips on.

Best just to clean it with a brush, a small paint brush or even a toothbrush will be best, I would say its best not to unclip the grill (if that's how its held in place) as is often the case with these things, the clips are quite small and fragile, you may break one of the clips / lugs then you re snookered !

Just use the brush dry, maybe even stipple to get all that dried milk out, you can use some apc/soapy water on the brush (not on the grill) if needed.

Hope that helps.

Just get some fairy and hot water and give it a clean with some cotton buds and a cloth or a thin brush.

If you happen to be a "detailer"; use a 1:500 mix of Fairy liquid with warm water (45 degrees is preferable) and agitate with above said tools using the two bowl method. All of the above needs performing under halogen lamps whilst taking before, 50/50 and after shots on your digi cam. You then need to post back for a 10 page appraisal stating how good/bad your work was and the other products and tools you could have used.:ban:

PS..... I forgot to mention the photos of your tools and products of choice

i did something similar in my sprinter van, and it spilt into my parrot 8400 system. It died and it was an expensive £300 coffee.

One would think the extortionate prices Starbucks and the likes charge for their "coffee" at their drive through establishments they would come with complementary accidental spillage cover.

Sell the car and hope the buyer doesn't notice :D

Don't you mean weapons?

Which brings me to another ridiculous euphemism.

When someone is going to lease a certain model of car, why do they have to be "pulling the trigger"...???:dk::doh:;)
