Blue lighting....

OK, I got the illumated door sills in and working just fine. So now I got this blue light theme going and I don't mean the rozzers.

Has anyone successfully converted the interior lighting to blue.

I built a 6 LED blue cluster for an interior light today, but it really didn't compare to the 10w bulb fitted next to it. Basically it was 2 rows of 3 LED's in series, I figured 4v forward x3 gives 12v supply. Unfortunately the LED's are too directional to be of any use as interior lights.

I also tried a super bright blue LED for the map light, but managed to blow that before I got it working.

I bought the only 12v sub miniature blue bulb that maplins manchester stocked today, not very bright, but might e worth a shot for replacement lighting for switches etc.

What about bulb paint?

So any good links, tips etc....

What about miniture neons would that be of any use,You could even use them in the foot wells to improve lighting down there as well???

You can get blue coloured bulbs for the dashboard lighting. Somebody here has done it, try a search.
