I was just thinking, does my E350cdi convertible have an adblue tank ? It it a late '11 model ?

If so whereabouts is it, am interested only

Short answer: No.

Longer answer: BlueTEC engines (not available in the Coupe / Cabriolet) require Adblue; BlueEFFICIENCY engines don't.

Why anyone would bother with BlueTEC in the UK is beyond me. Less power, higher fuel consumption and higher CO2 emissions in exchange for lower NOx :dk:

thanks

the reason I asked is because all my lorries and large tractors now run it. Seems simple enough, you fill up (50ltr) adblue every other tank of fuel..........Better specific fuel efficiency by about 10-12%. Costs approx £0.50k/yr/vehicle to buy the adblue in Ibc and save about £2.5k in fuel. However adds about £7-10k now to price of vehicle

Having spent the weekend in London I noticed most of the hotel/chauffeur cars were S350 bluetec versions.

I'd not even heard of Bluetech before this weekend. :-(
