MB 2007 E320 w211 cdi Avantgarde
Hi All

Here i go with another question...Sorry...lol.

I would like to use the telephone function in my car and i am thinking of putting in a Bluetooth Adapter. It is already wired for a phone.

I have MB E320 2007.

My question is this...I understand i can do all the telephone stuff with it, but if i have music on my phone, will it play through the Bluetooth Adapter and through the car speakers?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Does it have the cradle in the armrest? If so the Viseoo MB3 & MB4 both play music I believe

Yes it has the cradle, but it is for a specific phone. Siemens i believe.

Just checking and I'm not too sure about whether they play music or not. The Viseoo is suitable for most phones( I use an iPhone and Nokia on my MB2). Suggest you give Command Online a call as they are the boys

Thanks Harry. I have just been on the Viseoo website, but not seen anything yet that says about music.

I have just seen a picture of the small bracket that it says should be fitted. In my car, in the centre arm rest, there is a phone cradle that has a cable plugged into it. Is this the same, or do i need that small metal bracket that they show?

Oh i don't do technical....lol.

Is the cradle not fitted into the connector? There's a small black rubber button near the top of the cradle that when pressed will release it from the connector. This will enable you to insert a Viseoo cradle. Have a look at Command (Europe) Ltd for a Fiscon retrofit as that plays music from an iPod but not sure if it does from a phone

No it wont stream music. 2007 car has the UHI exchangeable cradle system. The older Viseeo MB-3 can be used to send music to the headunit but by FM modulator not bluetooth.

You just need to unlcip the Siemens phone specific cradle and fit a bluetooth adapter. Options are:

Mercedes Bluetooth & Phone | Comand Online Ltd

This is something I have been interested in too...

I'm looking at HFP cradles on ebay but does the Viseoo actually allow music streaming? Or is there an alternative that does?

Thanks.

Just had a reply from Command Online. They say that the MB3 does stream music, but the MB4 does not. The chipset in both is the same and apart from the music streaming, they are the same.

I have also read a review that with the MB3, the music is by FM transmitter and not that good.

I think i may go for the MB4 and find an alternative for the music. Plus the MB4 is slightly cheaper.

Steve

Ah I see. I've just done a few searches and it appears the VB3 does everything the VB4 does as well as the music streaming for only £30 more..... Even if the quality isn't amazing I think it will still be worth the extra £30......

Also check out the MB2. This is phone only but will work just as good. As its an older version will be cheaper and should be OK for a 2007 model vehicle
