I have a 2012 C250 Coupe SP and an iPhone 4. I love my music and have recently started using Spotify to stream music via Bluetooth in the car. Works a treat. My wife took delivery of a new A200 AMG Sport a fortnight ago, same story with streaming there.

Today at work I asked a colleague to try streaming Spotify in the a class using his Sony Experia Z (Android OS) as I'm thinking of getting one and wanted to check it would work with the cars as I love the iPhone integration.

His phone paired fine but played about 3 secs of music before pausing. No matter what we did, we could not get the car to play the music. We tried re-pairing and also playing music from his music library (to rule out any issue with the Spotify android app) to no avail.

Has anyone encountered this issue with non apple phones / android devices? Any suggestions as to how to get this to work?

Thanks in advance.

Try your phone in his car and convince him to get a proper phone ;)

Nope - although mine's an E250 with COMAND, our Samsungs, HTCs and tablets all sync and play fine theough Bluetooth, although I've yet to try Spotify.

Neither of our cars has Command, I wonder if it is a software issue?
