Just bought a pair of BMC Air Filters. Do they need oiling before installation?

Or are they ready to go straight in?

They are pre-oiled.
It should say that on the plastic wrappers on the filters.

have you noticed any power or noise difference?

I have a set of BMCs that were in my stock C32 intake. I used them for a fortnight before acquiring a SL55 intake and replacing the lot. I have to say even changing to the BMC from standard was night and day with throttle response.

I still have them if anyone is after a set. As new but no boxes. Offers considered

Really? They made no difference whatsoever to my C63 - but they are nicely made parts.

Noticed no difference on my C32 but as said they are very well made.

I had it re-mapped with standard and replaced for BMC and throttle response was massively improved. IMHO
