For me The M3 E30 Cab would be the first car to go in my dream Garage. I had until Jan this year an immaculate M3 E36 Saloon, I had it for over ten years, Used it for two then just stored it. But having had to return to the UK with no where to store it I had to sell it. Really regret it.
For me every car has a price point. E30's have crossed that for me, as much as I love them.
Mine cost £7k while my mate had a Hartge tuned one (paid 12k) and a cab (paid 16k)
These where top money for the nicest ones at the time.
They are now too much of an investment car to use them in the proper sense. The things i put mine through would make most present owners cringe!

I agree on the price point thing. I couldn't do it now even if I had the cash spare.
Yes it's exotic to a point but more exotic than a Ferrari at that price? Guess if it's something you are really into its a different thing. Cab my fav also ..
I don't think you would get much money off, no, but that says more about the people trying to sell them at that price thinking it will sell although in reality, I reckon they will hard pushed to get much more than the teens figures talked about on here. Good luck to them if they can get that for it.
For me, the ultimate M3 was the E36 M3 Evolution (same shape as Marcel-Anthony's Evo, albeit the 2 door although some say the 4 door is more rigid).
Engine, 6 speed Getrag and handling were amazing - particularly for a car developed in the very early 90s and face-lifted in 02/1996.
