W209 Coupe/Boot Floor Mat: 1 of 2 black plastic floor fastener missing (the female part - maybe a two piece item)?

I've just returned from my local dealership after trying to purchase the part, although the parts guys tried everything to help I'm told it's only available as part of a complete new floor mat :wallbash:

Has anybody come across a spare or a suggestion for a source, I realise I'm being picky but I just want everything correct, especially as I've just washed/scrubbed/vacuumed the original carpets throughout?

I picked up a couple of fasteners for the footwell carpet off ebay, maybe a similar fastener for your boot carpet is on there?

Thank you, I'll get going on your suggestion straight away!
Right, sorted, I've ordered some from e-bay, if successful I'll post the details (might help somebody else), again my thanks?

Did these work...?
I need one!

Hang on, I'm getting old and slow but I've had an idea?

The idea of using a blanking grommet to at least fill the boot mat (hole) and maybe 'bite' enough even with a bit of 'blue-tac' to retain it?

I'll let you know after it stops raining and I can sort through a mates Motor Shop to find a 'part'?

Nope, nothing small enough! Not even sure where to try next other than a scrap yard/Breakers :wallbash:
(If I had been succesful in even having to buy a pair: I'd have posted one onto you)

... the search continues! Appreciate the offer though.
I’ll speak to an Indy friend of mine, see what he can come up with. He may know of a scrapper even.
If I get lucky and can get hold of a couple I’ll let you know

Thank you Darren,
I tried every conceivable bit I could find in my mates shop this morning but apart from having coffee and having to buy him a bacon sandwich + getting roped in serving customers = nothing, wheres the brick wall? :wallbash: Still here!

Hope fully this has worked to help the OP. The attached photo is what the OP is missing from the opposite side. I think it has the remnants of the 'male' part of the clip still stuck inside.
Anyway, can anyone assist in clip part number? Surely between us we can solve this where his MB dealership couldn't! :D

Might these work?

Or perhaps these guys could sell you just the clips?

I've just ordered some of those clips which come in packs of four and I only need one so am happy to share a couple for postage costs.

Thank you all for helping, but the clip/fastener in question is much smaller than the 'cab' carpet clip(s), same push to fit principal just smaller and annoyingly hard to obtain?
Darren1717 and I are still missing 1 each, again thanks for your kindness o_O

Is it A 002 988 49 81 snap fastener, item 440 on attached parts list and pic?

My CLK280 has 2 of these, its used on cars with options 669,679 or 690 - various spare wheel types

Available on Amazon and Ebay from the most expensive UK parts seller - Pantri Trading or at much lower cost from your MB dealer, I suspect, as MercedesclubsDE had a list price of 0.86 euro inc VAT as of Dec 2017.

Sorry to say my kind and learned friend, it's not the item I/we require? :wallbash:

Lot's of kindness shown by fellow members toward me/us, but: the items we require are nowhere (yet) to be sourced!
Your scrapper theory is still the best idea?
