Boot Floor Mat Fastener?

Just to say, that looking at EPC for a generic W209 coupe, there are 7 different linings for the main luggage compartment floor.

5 have 203 part numbers and 2 have 209 part numbers. Its never easy finding these minor parts for a Merc.

Well Sir, my thanks for trying!
Between Darren and I we have Kent and the North East covered (but not secured --- sorry?)

So, I had my nephew who has a W209 CLK take me some pics of the clip to assist.

So the left hand pic, shows the 'post' which is the part fastened to the vehicle, this is believe to be part number A1706840035 (£4.35 from MB Newcastle). The other part is the part which clips onto the mat and the is in the right hand pic and this is the part the OP and Darren are trying to source.
It is flat on the other side......

Is that about right OP??

Get's more interesting, A 170 684 00 35 is 'bracket, lining fastening' and my epc shows it for W209 in section 68.410, item 52 and is used to secure the front footwell lining. Item 54 'cap at bracket' is used with the bracket and has 2 part numbers A 170 684 00 23 and A 211 684 00 23, both have various colour suffixes, including 9051 for black and 9B51 for anthracite.

Just had a look in my CLK's boot and it has the same arrangement as in Abb's nephew's photo above, but I cannot find the cap (on carpet) and bracket (protruding through the boot floor front section) in epc for the trunk panelling and lining. Perhaps MB only provide these caps and brackets with the boot floor section and boot carpets.

Anyway, you could now try A 170 684 00 23 / A 211 684 00 23 at your dealer, if no joy, MB Newcastle have A 211 684 00 23 in black or anthracite. Genuine Mercedes-Benz Front Floor Pan - Carpet Mat Clip A2116840023 NEW | eBay

Thank you again, I'm out and about today so I''ll try to call in to MB in the 'toon'?

^^^It is different from the one that is actually fitted to the original mat though :( As can be seen in my 3rd pic, it is more of just a plain dome where as the part number which is indeed the pics above, it more of a 'top hat'.
From what I can work out, the 'post' is designed to fit on the floor pan, the above part attached to that, which then allows the floor mats to be fastened down securely, the floor mats having their own 2 part clip! :)

Called in at MB Sunderland and I'm afraid there's nothing available (other than buying a new Boot Floor Mat ), both parts guys tried everything possible both on line and in old parts storage!
Sorry to report, again thank you all!

Just curious but what is the diameter of the pin in the boot that the carpet fits over?

Is it worth sending one of Abb's photos to Motorclips Direct in Darlington?

That's a cracking find, and down the road from me too! Unfortunately it will be a few weeks until I am back in the UK, but I can pop in and ask! :)

Apologies (all) for not staying in touch on this thread, my daughter was taken into hospital on Saturday night and I've been and still am preoccupied with her!
Gotta go

Lot's of kindness shown by fellow members toward me/us, but: the items we require are nowhere (yet) to be sourced!
Your scrapper theory is still the best idea?

I'm seeing the guy this weekend (he is hopefully fitting a parktronic sensor for me).
Whilst he does that, I'll be sniffing around his yard

Hope all is well and its not serious, please keep us updated!
Thank you, the result is that my girl (daughter I mean this time!) has become allergic to paracetamol, had a few really scary nights with her, but the brilliant staff in our beloved NHS have sorted her out!

Curious that I'm allergic to codiene and my wife's allergic to anything that's not bought from M&S?
Again thank you :thumb:

Did this ever get resolved? I have exactly the same problem!
