Hi All,

Last week, like a twit, damaged my boot.

I have managed to source a replacement which it the exact same colour, phew.

The query I have which I'm looking for some guidance on is the boot I brought has auto close where mine didn't have that function.

Do I need to do anything extra technical to get this working or will it just be a function that won't work on my car?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do I need to change the lock over?

Is that a simple task?
Yes if you still want same key blade to open it.
if you have a matching key for the new bootlid, you could carry it around/stash it in a safe place.

if your battery ever goes flat you may need a key to get in to the boot….

You have been so helpful, thank you so much...

One final question, do I need extra wiring for the auto Close to work beings that my current boot is a manual close?

I did just changed everthing saved any messing pretty straight forward.
took panel off and followed wiring down to plug look at your new lid it will give you a good idea of which way wiring goes unbolt lock.
yep pretty simple when you put new lid on get some help saves chipping paint lower it slowly watching gaps I left lock off till sorted gaps then fitted lock job done easy mate
