Hi , Lots of "boot separator" posts on here, but none that really answer my question - Basically the button inside the boot that you press to raise or lower the separator l has stopped working ? - Its not really a problem , as its in the down position - So I have no problem raising or lowering the roof as normal , "and I have been doing that a lot lately in this glorious sunshine" - But we all like our Merc,s to work as they should, So I just wondered if anyone had any ideas where to start - Or should I just get it booked in and set the credit card to stun.

*BUMP. Hi billywoblyneck (great username btw). I have the exact same problem so am bumping your message to see if anyone can shed any light on it. I've looked around online but can't really find much in the way of potential issues.

Any ideas anyone?

I have this problem on my 2017 E400 cab.. could you let me know if you found out the issue? It's been working fine - then after putting quite a lot of luggage in the boot, it has stopped folding up - now stuck in down position.

Only time I've had this problem with my SLK it is the microswitch(?es) either side where the seperator latches in, released then closed the seperator hard and problem gone.
