optional extra I'm afraid - normally your speakers would have the "Bose" logo on them if Bose is fitted

Pammy is right, it is optional.

If you do have a bose setup and are looking for your amp it will be on the N/S.

That's passenger side to you not so 'car-literate' folk...:)

Unless your car is left hand drive ;)

Ok, always left hand side in the UK, basically means the nearest side to the curb... ;)

And don't give me any of the " what if i park facing the traffic?" :D

and in every single bose install i ahve heared i have really NOT beem impressed at all

that may be - but it doesn't mean they're no good - they'd hardly have the name they had if they were  and does it come back to my point - that officionados of sound will always be looking for something more when for the vast majority of people the sound they get, including upgrades by well known names such as Bose, is perfectly acceptable

You should hear the one in my E55 then ;)
It's 100% original and standard and gives some of the boy racers a run for their money. Nice clear sound with a thumping bass :bannana: :bannana:

i dunno ive always found the treble too harsh the midrange too muddled and the bass to flabby when it comes to bose systems tbh

jsut my opinion

now if you could get dynaudio as standard then we would be talking :D

The ML and SLK systems have both been big let downs in my personal opinion.

The E-Class is OK, but the C140 really needs to be listened to, to be believed...

I have spent ages rebuilding door pods and dash pods and eq'in my system in my 190 but it STILL dosent have the perfect balance that this system has! Really is the most perfect factory set up i've heard. Obviously mine blows it out of the water when it come to sheer volume on any front

The bose system in my S600 is unbelievable. In all my other Mercs i have fitted subwoofers but this one doesn't need it!
And V12 is right, the W140 bose systems are one of the best.

Does anyone know what the Bose set up for the R129 SL should include? The previous owner added rear seats so messed about with the set up, I have the amp, front speakers and rears but think I am missing a bass box of some description.

Regards

Tan

Check under the rear seat or in the spare tyre well.

Cheers Ricky

What / Where would the parcel rack be on an SL?

I finally got the Bose sub today!!

Now I got to find a place to fit the thing. I would like to put it in the boot if possible as it takes up too much space on the back seats.
