How can i stop the Bose from altering the volume dependant on speed as im sure thats why mine sounds lifeless, and also when it does work it drops the volume too far:wallbash:

Might there be a setting in the menu somewhere to disable speed dependent volume?

Perhaps simply disconnect the speed pulse wire? But that could have knock on effects...

I know that function used to be called 'GALA' or something like that. Might be worth a search as there could be a way of disabling it or reprogramming it?

Is this connected to a COMAND unit or standard audio?

Im sure this can be adjusted but you may need to get into the comand secret menu... richard or alfie probably have the answer.

its via COMAND:rolleyes:

Might be worth a look in the 'hidden' menu then as Jay says. Or at least a search to see what functions are contained in the hidden/service menu.

Hidden menu????

Might have to wait for Alphie or such like, as i haven't a clue about that.

Need an expert to listen to it as i think its got big problems lol

I'll have to search for it, but you just hold down three buttons from what I remember.

Well here is the menu that I was thinking of:

Mercedes COMAND Diagnostic (Service) Mode

But it doesn't look like it'll enable you to see/alter the speed-volume setting :o

I'm sure Richard or Alfie will be able to advise :)
