I own a 1998 s280 W140 UK spec, how can I tell if I have a Bose system/amplifier?

On my 96 S500, the Bose speaker grilles on rear parcel shelf had BOSE written on them ...

Do you have the datacard (probably stuck inside the service book), theres loads of 3 digit option codes along the bottom. 810 is bose sound system

Just don't rely on the fact that Bose is written on the speaker grills! There have been mailcious rumours that the "Bose" logo is available in little packs to stick on yourself :bannana: :bannana: :bannana:

They are not "stuck on", they are held in with little pins

Thanks for the advice fellas - noted ! {see the amount of BRABUS + AMG stickies on sale on eBAY}.. Why someone wants to put a few stickies and think that their cars have been modified is kinda weird to understand...

However, back to topic ... I have original Bill of Purchase for the vehicle and the BOSE system cost the 1st owner a cool £1200 ... The remote control unit was extra !

I added some extra bose badges to the rest of the car's speaker grills to compliment the ones already on the rear speaker covers . I am not into badge-tuning, unlike some other people I could mention

I dont see any code for a system in my code numbers, wat does this mean ???
lowest spec system. my 1994 s 320 with sony (old) sounds crap, no bass even with "loudness on" on
