Hey guys I bought the CLS today of mercedes benz of warrington however I have one q when I drove it the 200 miles home it ran perfectly getting an average of 37mpg on the motorway not bad for a 320cdi however once I got home I put it on my obdII scanner and a p0132 came up now the question is what should i do? Could it be something serious or is it an old code as the car is running perfectly? Thanks

Is that the car equivalent of hypochondria?

Reading a book about illnesses to see if there's a chance something may be wrong.

Take it back and demand your money back !

The fault code is an oxygen sensor code, best get it checked. I would speak to the supplying dealer and see what they say.

200 miles on a motorway and only 37mpg. You should be getting into the mid 40s easily...seriously.

Depends how fast he went ;)

The CLS isn't as slippery IIRC as the 211 and if it has wider tyres the MPG would drop. If its got 19's and 285 wide tyres at the back, it could be a bit worse.

I tend to see 46-48mpg at the NSL on a motorway, but mines lowered innit:p

its a beaut but shame about this one fault

going back to warrington on tuesday the dealer said will check out the o2 sensor. 202 miles back :(. The dealer left the finance agreement with me and I need to post it to them.

Can MB Warrington not make a call to your local MB dealer and get them to check and fix the fault? A 400+mile round trip is a bit costly when your own dealer could fix this.

You could have an old fault code still showing and nothing wrong anyway.
Have you cleared the code and did it come back?

I really wouldnt bother unless the engine light is on... O2 sensor faults come up all the time on the V6 engines, all they will do is delete it..

well guys truth is a mobilo guy came out today cleared the fault and i took it for another spin he retested it and it reappeared. Also my local dealer temple fortune is booked up till the 29th :(

Its not going to be worth your diesel travelling up to the dealer... A new OEM sensor from Euro's is sub £100
