Guys,

I need to replace my front disc and pads on my w205 c63 estate. Would guys have any online links for deals?

Also…any idea who manufactures these parts for Mercedes. Surely they must be cheaper just not having the merc stamp on them. Have any of you upgraded the pads, if so which ones and why?

Thanks in advance.

Your profile shows you have a carrera?
What is the Merc price for replacement discs and pads?

give mb newcastle a call. I would stick to MB pads/disks for such a beast.
dont skip on brakes.

you may find not such a difference in price.

My indy likes to use Pagid as second option (if MB not available).

They will almost defiantly be Brembo , but as said ask the price at MB first . I replaced the discs on my AMG with Brembo from ECP , identical to the ones I removed , only difference is I fitted Akebono Carbon Ceramic pads (front and rear) instead of MB/Brembo.

Harry Metcalfe (EVO) had Pagid on his Pagani Zonda because the OEMs were just too expensive. He was very impressed with them and said he would do that going forward. But that was a few years back so I couldn't say for now.

How do you find these pads driving wise?

Ceramic ones surely mean less brake dust right?

Don't let gazwould see you mention pagid , he'll tell you it's an ecp owned company similar to eicher.

I've been given these two item numbers from MB Newcastle:

Front discs: Genuine Mercedes-Benz W205 C-Class C63 AMG FRONT Brake Discs X2 A000421201207 | eBay - not sure if these are right as they don't have grooves on the disc? Can someone confirm as apparently MB ones do not come with grooves according to the chap I spoke with at MB Newcastle. I have looked in to the brembo pads discs and they have grooves on them too.

Front pads: Genuine Mercedes-Benz W205 C63 AMG FRONT Brake Pads w/Sensor A0004205004 Z9400 | eBay

Thanks

Zoom in, those pads are made by textar- you can get those on autodoc - OEM fitment.

£283 a set , good god 😂😂😂

Takes me back to my st205 ownership days .

Virtually zero brake dust , on silver wheels (like mine) there is nothing to clean off.

Just type Akebono in the search and you will see some of my posts regarding these pads since I fitted them ages ago.

Looking on AUTODOC for rear brake parts
Looking at brembo for pads but there are 2 brembo options, see pic, both have the correct oe number
Thoughts?
When I look at genuine parts they are stamped TRW and Textar gets a mention above, I’m thinking probably can’t go wrong with any of the three
Further insights regarding differences with genuine and after market?
I’ve a slight lip on the disks after 16500 miles so if I go after market the pads and disks come out at similar price to genuine pads 70E52F34-F799-4700-BD8C-13E39505B659.png
