That is very interesting - according to this we can have a max of 0.5 whereas on the main street about 100 metres away they get 3.5 ...hmmm I can see a phone call to someone is in order ...but that's the problem who do I call ?? Any ideas??
You may have an individual line problem- people miles from an exchange can usually manage 2Mbtyes/sec have you tried an "I plate" socket. BT I-Plate (iPlate)

If all the houses have the same problem and someone 100 yards away has 3.5 Mbytes/sec then your development is either on a totally different exchange miles away or you are all affected by the same fault. Get a few folks together and ask BT to test your development line/ junction box. Worth a try??
