I'm 99% sure I will be going up to Brooklands this Saturday for a nose about. Thought I would mention it just in case any other folks fancy taking some nice pics etc.

I might be able to make it down for a short while - any idea of time?

Will

Yes depending on the time i could make it.

Bump as this is tomorrow :)

I desperately need to clean the car though :o

Howard, Nick etc?

I'm boating tomorrow i'm afraid.

Fitting bits to the A class in the morning then off on the river for the afternoon . :)

I might roll down about 12 noon. I still need to change the wheel centre cap if anyone has any ideas. The alloys cost 3k each so I don't want to risk damage.

cant make this one either sorry I'm car less at the moment.

Without taking the wheel off? Do you want to centre cap?

Only way I know is to drill the cap a drive a screw in to pull it out.

Or remove the wheel :dk:

Yep got the new cap and don't want to remove wheel. Hope it comes out cleanly.

Going to be there at about 1300hrs. Will be wearing a black Lacoste Polo shirt. Hope to see some of you there.

Hey bud.

You need to be careful.

The caps, as you probably know, are held in place by tension, by a circular piece of wire.

I'm thinking that if you drill a hole and pull the cap out without removing the wheel, the wire may "spring" wider as you remove the cap.
This may then cause the wire to scratch the centre of your rims when you remove the cap. :(

Personally, I would take the time to remove the wheel.

Wrap some electrical tape around your socket to prevent scratching your rims when you locate the socket each time.

It would be best to remove the wheel as you will be able to remove the cap more carefully.

Not as such, only if you are a genuine punter

Not quite.

I was there on Thursday, and enquire about a used car they have for sale, the salesman looked over my car, and said he would call Friday to talk figures and arrange a test drive....

Still havn't heard from them. :dk:
