Which models does that 4100rpm limit apply to? Sensible feature I have to say, though must it not be overridden for MoT emission testing etc when they need to rev?

Petrols aren't revved for an MOT emissions test, that's why so many pass.

At MPH05 Clarkson demonstrated a car a new Japanese tyre which produces pink smoke during burn-outs. He said that was the only feature - it didn't really brake, accelerate or corner. Not sure if he was taking the p&$$, but the smoke was definitely pink....
