Then hold on for a bit if you can. Got this response back from MB customer care re Eu4 emmissions:

"With regards to the engine being EU4 compliant, we can confirm that as of December 2004 production this model will be EU4 certified, however, it will only apply to vehicles with 16" wheels"

6 months too late for me, but if you wait you could avoid the 3% tax surcharge.

Interesting, I read the C220cdi will have a EU4 compliant engine, I wonder why it will take so long to reach the E class.

Probably because it's built into the new C class from day 1 while the E class will required a mod of some sort to fit the particle filter.

You know how they like to drag things out. Keeps the customer interested...
