C and E Class Recall

MB together with VOSA have issued a safety recall on the w204 c class and the e class built late in 2011.

Do you normally get letters through about this? I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago!

If you are on the dvla database as the registered keeper of an affected car, then yes, you should get a letter. If your car is within the ranges detailed on the vosa site, and you don't get a letter, ring your dealer and ask them about it.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the "Charge Air Hose" ?

As a guess, I think it's the hose between the air intake and the turbo, but it's a guess only.

It's the hose after the turbo feeding compressed (charged) mixture to the engine.
