just bought a 270 CDi at a good price, knowing that there were some engine issues.
just had a local garage look at the fault codes, and he has pulled that 3 of the injectors are not working, and low fuel pressure at the rail.
he also checked the boost pipes, and said that there was little pressure on the drivers side, and no pressure at all on the passenger side. also, it looks very oily in those areas.
he has said it looks like a split pipe or intercooler issue, so the front end needs stripping down, and all the pipework looking at.
does this sound fair? he has said the error codes could all be as a result of the potential issue with the pipes.
I will get the car back now and start looking at the pipes as and where I can get to them, to see if there is an obvious split or break somewhere.
