C180 Starting Problems

Please can someone give me some advice on a problem i have with my c180, its a 1994 early with no MAF sensor. Starts after about 10 seconds of cranking and levels to a steady idle from cold. When its been running and i stop engine it starts almost instantly again but if i leave it for 5 to 10 minutes or so it goes back to the 10 seconds of cranking again. Can anyon give me any info on this problem? Would be greatful.

Sounds like the fuel is draining back and taking its time to come back to the engine after you leave it.

Sure your fuel filter / fuel pump is ok ?

Not sure where on the c180 is the pump and ill check it first
