Hi, I am new here ,I was wondering if any of you with a bit more experience heard of being possible remapping a Mercedes C200 CDI 2013 model? I live in Ipswich ( Suffolk) and was wondering if anybody here knows a genuine place in the area where I can have the car remapped? Much appreciated. Dont mind to travel if needed.

C200-remapping

Does anybody here knows if the C200 13 plate CDI has same engine as C220?

I have notice that the 14 plate C220 CDI has twin turbo.

Some people are saying that C200 can be remap TO SAME POWER AS C250,But what about C200? Thank you.

C200 is a single turbo...

C220 and C250 are twin turbo and identical engines only difference is the map on ECU

So you can increase C220 to C250 with a reflash but not the same with C200..

Ah right, so can the C200 be remap then? I am only asking as some companies are saying that then C200 will have an increase in bhp same as the C220 currently has.

I am looking in a remap and not sure if its worth it or if can actually be done without affecting the engine. Thank you.

OK, Thank you, had to go in the end for a Tunning box from TDI Tunning Chelmsford and at the moment quite happy.

Is your car blue efficiency as I thought the c200 cdi bluetec was only on theW205. Id be interested to know how your tuning box fares

Yeah 13 plate its different then the 11 or 12 plate even though its a W204 its a improved engine and comes in as C200 Blue eff 2.1 engine, slightly better then the C200 12 plate. I keep testing the settings on the tunning box however its the multi channel one and so far I can say if I move up a notch I can see the difference as it has 7 settings. Only on Settings 5 at the moment and all I can say I drove the 64 plate C220 the other day and now my car feels lighter on the acceleration and faster then that and quicker response even at lower rates. Fuel consumptions has improved for example on a 40 mile testing ( mixed roads) went from 48.7mpg to 62.8 mpg and that on level 4 settings. I was very very sceptic on this tunning box before and not saying that they are the best but this works for me at the moment and also depends who you buy them from and what you buy. I will come back in few days with more results if you want. If the car was older I would have gone for a remap but I had to use what I could.

Hi. I have currently got a year old e250 cdi. I am thinking about getting it remapped, however am thinking about the warranty on the vehicle, worst case scenario the gear box goes etc. Does anybody know, or could give there opinion whether mercedes dealerships can trace the remap when booked in for a service?

Thanks

Any remap can be traced. There is no such thing as an invisible remap. Any company advertising this clearly doesn't understand how a remap works!

A) The car feels quicker, dealers drive these cars everyday
B) The boost and fuel settings are higher. Mercedes provide the points to dealers to check peak boost/fuel etc. A simple 5 min road test.

However unlike Audi and BMW, Mercedes don't at this point actively search for tuning on the vehicle to my knowledge. We can a car in 6 months ago for warranty with a tune for a new injector, and no issues at all. Car had the remap on it.

Thank you for your prompt response.

My only issue is obviously taking it in for the service and automatically they say your warranty is void, which would be annoying.

Do you think if you reset the map to standard before service, this would be a better solution or if anything went wrong with the vehicle and then set to standard?
