Herro,
Recently had a mis fire on start up and then the glow plug light came on. Farts! Time to change the glow plugs. Got some replacements from an autofactors. My question is this, will I have to clear any error codes from the ECU and how can do that?
Having never done any I am a but confused about whether it is a straight change and the ecu sorts it all out again...? Help!

just had teh same issue start on my c250 td. was starting fine then after a restart when warm, glow plug light stayed on. now when its starting sounds like its gonna implode for teh first 60 sec's. is fine after than.. was hoping its just the glow plugs

Just change them and the light will go out as normal. BTW the inlet manifold will have to come off.

Yeah I know about the inlet-ball ache but it gives me a chance to clean the inlet of all the soot and gunk there probably is caked in there. Thanks legend.

Well glow plugs changed on the Wagon. All is well on the start up front. But the thing that is not so well are the o-rings on the intake manifold. They are all shot and are leaking oily fuel onto the side of the block.
I've cleaned up the block as best as I could but I had to wait for the parts from Benz at 1.50 bucks each! That is really pricey for something that should cost less than 20p! But hey!
Am picking up the o-rings this arvo to install later. With this done all of the service things that needed doing have been done and now nothing can go wrong! :thumb:
