Hi
My C-Class C250 Turbo diesel lost power this morning. It was after I restarted it following a 50 mile run. It accelerated slowly and could just about manage 60-70 MPH. Felt like the turbo not working. I stopped the engine for a few minutes, it accelerated like normal for 2 minutes then suddenly lost power again, for the 50 mile run home.
After leaving it for a couple of hours, it did two 10 mile runs like normal again.
There are no strange noises coming from the engine, no loose or split turbo hoses, no warning lights and normal engine temperature. The car has done 200,000 miles.
Any advice would be appreciated

Try replacing the vacuum transducer.
If you will still encounter problems check contamination in fuel filters and try replacing the light switch and brake.

Thanks for that. Weird thing is that it has been OK since that day.

What year is it & what fuel are you using?

Probably the MAP sensor going faulty.

yep map sensor most likely mine go ultra relaible after replacing... check all vacuum pipes for the sensor and diaphram to the turbo. cheap as chips to replace while you are at it.. they split with age..

Also i wouldnt rule out a sticky brake caliper. If it happens again just double check that your brakes arent scorching hot.
