I think that backbox is a weltmeister off a C320,if my spouts before the tips are long like those do you thing its a goer if i get a set of matching tips for the other side? I work with a stainless welder who can make it for me if it will fit.My cars still in the bodyshop so i cant have a look how long the spouts are.

Any problems with pressure or something technical being an AMG?

Im not too sure on the ' T ' thats been welded in either, on the spout id rather have the twin tips welded onto one spout and the other twin tips coming straight from the second spout:confused: something like this

Although the tyre well looks like its been altered on this one.

Looks good but I think it might decrease performance with all those joins and angles

Why....simple,I like the look of quads and its cheaper than doing the full split from the front like someone on here did,if it was possible then it would only be £150 to £200 to do and the welder would make a better job than in the pics.

But if flows going to be a problem then its a no no, I didnt know thats why im asking.

Since the additional tail pipe is taken off the first tail pipe and not the silencer itself then I suspect only a very small amount of exhaust gas, if any, would exit from it. So I doubt any performance reduction would be seen.

Make sure there is sufficient clearance between the exhaust pipes and body panel to mitigate for any rattles.

But if you're happy for it to be a cosmetic change, then go for it.

I suspect you are likely to get suction on the second set of pipes rather than gas flow - think of how an airbrush works :)

I dislike cosmetics over function. If you want a quad pipe system, get the job done properly. You may as well just bolt a couple of pipes on the other side and do it in true 'Barry' style :)

I have a quad on my SEC and the second side of pipes is taken from the rear silencer.. no angles and even puffs from both sides!

 Im hardly a trever tracker.... its not as if im going to jack the back, spray the diff and add a bonnet scoop :p

That exhaust looks very shoddy from underneath as you know

I will be looking into quad pipes soon but will go for the centre back

The redundant spare wheel well will have to be changed

May have to look into how the c55 does it

Im going to be adding another 2x pipes to my CLK, do you have any photos of your set up (from underneath?)

That was from years ago, glad i never had it fitted as it does indeed look very rough.
