c32 starting mpg

hi as soon as i start my c32 its starting mpg is 12 and drops to about 10 ,is this normal ? the car doesnt use anymore than my last car in a week so im not bothered its just a bit scary knowing it cost 50p a mile . my last car had no trip computer so was probably doing the same

Mine starts at 19 I think, and drops the longer it idles. I ASSUME that it takes a look at the cumulative average figure and starts from there.
Normal running around town , I get around 19-20. Motorway at 60-70 maybe 27 or so. Drops dramatically with speed from there.

I think mine starts off at 8 mpg but as it isn't moving it's wrong, it's doing 0 mpg until I start driving.

im getting around 16 after 20mins or so around town and upto 26 on the motorway , my average is 16.8 at the minute with lots of town driving and also very short trips 5 minute or less

I think if you reset the "since last reset" display and then go for for a normal drive you will see a more accurate display. I noticed a similar effect after a couple of weeks of short cold journeys, did a reset and it started creeping back up. I think the "since start" display started at about 18mpg and worked up as I drove it.

You will see a lower mpg on start up untill the secondary air injection kicks out & it gets up to temp.
I average 19.8mpg
16 round town, 24 on motorway probably a bitter if stuck to 70.
