I have been looking at a 2006 (ish) C320 CDI Auto for a little while now and a low mile example (50,000) goes for around the £6,000 to £7,000 mark.... Whilst looking i have come accross a number of 57 and 08 plated 320 CDI's but with the W204 chassis, they are around the £3,000 mark more than the older chassis but with the same engine and gearbox.... are they that much better ?

Same engine and gearbox. Some say early 204s are not as well made as the last 203s... but as Derek says, go have a drive. I have 2 x 203 C320 cdis and I must they are blooming marvellous cars. At 6/7k, it's a lot of great car for the money.
Agree, they do seem really good value if i can find one with low miles and the best condition along with a fully loaded extras list from new !!! The 204's do seem to be a bit steep in price when compared to the last of the 203's, i am going to have a look at some this weekend so will see what happens.
